This year, the Academic Senate will collaborate with other constituents in hosting the Spring Plenary Session, partnering with the Chief Instructional Officers (CCCCIOs), the California Community College Association of Occupational Educators (CCCAOE), Chief Student Services Officers (CSSOs), the Chancellor’s Office, and other organizations to host the first Community College collaborative event Aligning Partnerships for Student Success. Today’s current higher education environment will require a close collaboration with all college constituents to address issues of common concern.  Register early to secure a slot for this event.    

 ACADEMIC SENATE FOUNDATION SPRING FLING 2016 at the MIX Downtown Sacramento

It’s time to get ready for the Academic Senate Foundation's 3rd Annual Spring Fling Gala and Fundraiser at the Spring Plenary Session. This year, the plenary session is being held in Sacramento in conjunction with the CIO, CSSO, and CCCAOE spring conferences. We also expect quite a showing from the Chancellor’s office as well. The Spring Fling will take place on Thursday evening, April 21 at the MIX Downtown in Sacramento at the corner of 16th and L streets, walking distance from the Convention Center. There will be food, drinks, dancing, and of course a fun time with your colleagues. In addition and in accordance with tradition, we will be holding a Silent Auction. 
 
What can you do to help the Academic Senate Foundation?
  • Purchase a ticket or VIP Booth for the Spring Fling
  • Invite your CEO, CIO, CSSO to purchase a VIP Booth and host a team from your college or district
  • Ask your colleagues (faculty, administration, and staff) to donate items for the Silent Auction. Examples include: artwork such as paintings, sculpture, jewelry, drawings, ceramics, books: wines, beers and spirits; tickets to professional sports; tickets to performances such as theatre, symphony, comedy club, ballet, etc.; stays at vacation home, resorts, condos, hotels; items to contribute to a gift basket such as soaps, candles, cosmetics, toys, games, cooking items, etc.; jewelry; new electronic devices.

$75 individual tickets

Includes entry into Mix Nightclub, food and 2 drink tickets and DJ dancing into the night.

$1500 for VIP Booth up to 15 - Please contact edie [at] asccc.org (edie[at]asccc[dot]org) if you are interested in a VIP Booth. Booths are limited and will sell out.  VIP booth will inlclude 2 bottles of champagne, entry and a private space for up to 15 people until 9:30 PM, appetizer tray specially delivered to your booth for just you and your guests. edie [at] asccc.org ( Only 1 VIP Booth left!! )

Early Registration: $495

Late Registration: $545 After April 1, 2016

Saturday Only Registration: $195

One Day Presenter Registration: $80

Two Day Presenter Registration: $160

Payment in full is required prior to attending the event. Attendees must pay before April 1, 2016 in order to secure the early registration rate.

If you are attending as a one day only registrant, please call the Senate Office to make your $125.00 payment.

CANCELLATIONS

The cancellation deadline for a full refund is April 1, 2016. Please review the Senate Cancellation Policy here. Any request for refunds received after April 1, 2016 will be reviewed by the Executive Director. Please keep in mind that registrations are transferable. All cancellations are subject to a $50 processing fee.
