Dear Colleagues,

I hope your fall term is off to a successful start.  As you all know, some of the most challenging work local senates encounter involves proper application of minimum qualifications and determination of equivalency.  Therefore, the ASCCC and the Standards and Practices Committee are pleased to announce that it is holding its first-ever regional meetings on minimum qualifications and equivalencies.

 South

When: Saturday, October 29

Where: Riverside City College - RCC Cafeteria for the 150 person general session and the Hall of Fame Room and Heritage Room for breakout sessions.

Parking: They will not be citing for parking, so parking will be open for attendees.  Please park in the structure (36) or Lot E and the conference will take place in Bradshaw (13).

 What

The meeting will include an information presentation on minimum qualifications and equivalency, conversations about local equivalency processes, and equivalency applications scenario activities. 

 Who

Local faculty leaders, including senate presidents, CTE liaisons, curriculum chairs, and equivalency chairs.  Both new and experienced faculty leaders involved in equivalency are encouraged to attend. 

 What to Bring

Attendees are asked to bring copies of their local equivalency processes with them as they are needed for the group discussions on local processes.

Costs

Free but registration is required.

 

Continental breakfast and lunch are provided.  To register, please go to http://asccc.org/calendar/list/regional-meetings and select the regional meeting you wish to attend.

Cancellation Policy:

No shows or cancellations after the deadline will be billed $25. If you are unable to attend please email events [at] asccc.org before the cancellation deadline. Cancellations must be received in writing.
