Whereas the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges has already supported a change (Fall, 1988) in course repetition regulations for adaptive PE, and

Whereas the Academic Senate has already supported a change (Fall, 1988) in course repetition regulations for music students to give them equal opportunity with four-year college students who have no restrictions on performance music course repetition and who are, in fact, required to take performance courses while in residence, and

Whereas a change in course repetition regulations would promote transfer among Visual and Performing Arts students, and

Whereas a Chancellor's Office Task Force is currently studying changes in the course repetition regulations,

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges recommend to the Chancellor's Office Task Force on Course Repetition that changes in course repetition regulation be made for students in the Visual Arts and for students in Performing Arts including dance, music and drama so courses may be repeated by majors as is the case at CSU and UC.
