This resolution was found non-feasible as the ASCCC does not have the resources to accomplish the intent of this resolution. However, Senate leadership will continue to work with other constituents to clarify Education Code and bring any suggestions or modifications to the delegates as necessary.

Whereas, California’s community colleges are heavily regulated;

Whereas, Some Title 5 regulations may be problematic for all constituency groups; and

Whereas, A review of and changes in some select regulations could be of benefit to our colleges without altering long-instituted practices intended to ensure the quality of our educational offerings;

Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges work with the Consultation Council to identify regulations that are universally problematic and bring those regulations back to the body for further consideration.
