During the 2004-2005 year, the committee offfered several breakouts to accomplish this objective.
Whereas, Colleges are required to submit an up-to-date student equity plan by April 2004;
Whereas, The Board of Governors has made student equity among its highest priorities for 2002-2003; and
Whereas, Many faculty and local senates may lack expertise in recommending substantive goals, actions and activities for their college's student equity plan;
Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges sponsor a breakout during the Fall 2003 Plenary Session on writing a college student equity plan that leads to action in the areas of student access and success;
Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges co-sponsor with the Chancellor's Office two regional workshops on writing a college student equity plan that leads to action in the areas of student access and success, one in the North and one in the South, early in the Fall 2003 semester.
