The Academic Senate for California Community Colleges ad Regional Consortiums will host 8 CTE regional events tailored to the needs of each region. The sixth event will be held in North Far North area on March 27, 2024.

Given the overall success of the Area Meetings during fall 2023, the ASCCC has opted to once again hold the Area Meetings during a single day. The 2024 Spring Area Meetings will be held March 22, 2024.

These meetings are held before the upcoming plenary session to discuss matters of concern to your Area, review proposed resolutions to be voted on at plenary session, and generate new resolutions. The day will start with everyone together for a morning general session that will include the President's Update, Foundation Update, Discipline List process information, and resolutions information along with opportunities to ask questions about each of these topics. Then faculty will convene by areas to continue with review of resolutions and sharing of college updates. Participants will learn about legislative process, hear from public policy experts, and have the opportunity to ask questions about various bill proposals. The tentative schedule for these webinars will be the third Wednesday of the month from 1:00PM - 2:00PM. The webinars will be hosted through Zoom Events.

Dive into a vital discussion on equity in online courses. The engaging session aims to shed light on the challenges and opportunities in creating equitable digital learning environments. Faculty will offer insights on tailoring online courses to meet diverse student needs, ensuring equal access to technology, and fostering a supportive virtual community.
