The Academic Senate for California Community Colleges will host the 2022 Part-Time Faculty Institute February 10-11, 2022. This 2022 Institute intends to bolster discussions, voices, and representation of part-time faculty in California community colleges. This event will inform attendees about current ASCCC and California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO) priorities and efforts that humanize experiences in recognition of resilience throughout higher education. The Institute is also designed for part-time faculty to gain insights on the hot topics around academic and professional matters with additional sessions focused on professional learning and leadership development. Opportunity awaits… for networking and connecting with colleagues, as well! The event will take place in the virtual event platform Pathable. All attendees will receive an email prior to the event with a unique user login. The platform works with email as your user id, so please make sure all attendees emails are their actual emails. If you are an admin and are registering a group of people, please make sure you are prepared with each persons unique email. The Academic Senate invites you to attend the first-ever hybrid 2021 Fall Plenary Session on November 4-6, 2021 to be held at the Westin Long Beach in Long Beach, and via Pathable! The theme this year is "Leading Change" Teaching, Learning, and Governance in a Hybrid World". Join us this November to attend impactful breakout sessions, discuss statewide matters, vote on important Resolutions, and network both virtually and in-person with faculty across our system. In-person registration is $580 and virtual registration is $325. |

Topics will include the new Title 5 regulations on ethnic studies and the CSU Area F, new Distance Education (DE) definitions, General Education (GE) changes, Common Courses Numbering and DEI in Curriculum. The Academic Senate for California Community Colleges is hosting the 2021 Academic Academy - Virtual Event
Are you a faculty, staff member, or administrator at a community college, CSU, or UC who wants to improve student transfer? Join the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges, in collaboration with the RP Group, for the virtual 2021 Academic Academy being held online October 7-8, 2021. The theme is Enhancing Transfer in the Higher Education System. The program includes general and breakout sessions intended to raise awareness of broad perspectives and transfer experiences, provide updates on transfer efforts within the California Community Colleges and university partners, and explore ways to improve student transfer, with an emphasis on strategies for closing opportunity and transfer gaps for students least likely to transfer. Connect with colleagues, engage in discussion, and identify individual and collective actions that can be taken to improve student transfer experiences.
