ASCCC OERI Webinar: Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC), Open Educational Resources (OER), and XB12, the New Instructional-Material-Cost Data Element

A new section-level data element has been introduced by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office that provides a code to track course material costs. XB12, Instructional-Material-Cost, has been added to the California Community Colleges Management Information System Data Element Dictionary. The implementation date for the new code is summer 2022. Join us for an overview of the existing definitions of ZTC and guidance with respect to the new data element.

This webinar and discussion are oriented toward faculty and program directors at colleges new to implementation and planning for fall 2022. The second hour of the webinar is intended for deeper dialog about local implementation.
