Transfer Webinar

The Academic Senate for California Community Colleges, in agreement with the Academic Senate of the California State University and the University of California Academic Senate, is proposing the alignment of seven existing Associate Degrees for Transfer (ADT) with existing UC Transfer Pathways. The seven proposed degrees are Anthropology, Business, Economics, History, Mathematics, Philosophy, and Sociology. During this webinar, the presenters will provide information about how each ADT aligns, or would align with a slight modification, to an existing UC Transfer Pathway. The goal is for these aligned degrees to be included with the recently approved UC Transfer Pathways pilot degrees in chemistry and physics, as well as the potential alignment of engineering degrees between the CCCs and the UC systems. The alignment of chemistry, physics and engineering requires legislative action to unite the two pathways at this time but input from discipline faculty across all systems clearly recommends the UCTP for chemistry, physics, and engineering.  This would result in 10 aligned pathways clearly communicating to students the requirements for transfer to either of our intersegmental partners.

There will be two webinars: The January 22, 2020 webinar will provide initial information and serve as a venue for attendees to ask questions and provide feedback on the provided draft alignments. The February 4, 2020 webinar will be a follow-up to provide more information based on questions and feedback from the January 22 webinar.
