C-ID: Discipline Input Group (DIG) Meeting - North

The Academic Senate for California Community Colleges, leveraging the Course Identification Numbering System (C-ID), is hosting a Discipline Input Group (DIG) May 18th in Northern California.

The purpose of the meetings will be to bring together faculty from the disciplines below in order to 1.) identify sub-disciplines 2.) to determine competencies to map to general education requirements. The work done by the faculty at the meetings will inform the work of the CTE Minimum Qualifications Work Group.

We need faculty in the following disciplines to attend:

  • Automotive
  • Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning
  • Welding
  • Aviation

There is no fee to attend and a light breakfast as well as lunch will be provided.  

In addition, we are requesting attendance of local senate leaders who have experience with general education requirements to help with the conversation related to mapping of competencies. Faculty who teach specifically in general education disciplines are desired.
