Join us for the ASCCC's third annual Part-time Faculty Institute on February 21 – 23, 2019, in partnership with 3CSN and with support of the Chancellor's Office. This institute is designed to support new and experienced part-time faculty. Whether you are hoping to become a full-time faculty or want to become a more effective faculty member and teacher, this institute will have something for everyone. This year's Institute will include topics on innovative pedagogy, campus involvement, leadership and equity, and the recruitment, hiring, and interview process. Thanks to the grant from 3CSN, ASCCC is able to offer complimentary registration to the Institute along with a two-night hotel stay on a first come first serve basis. Registration is limited, and the hotel rooms and "travel" scholarships will all be claimed.
You must secure your hotel reservations separate from event registration. See the registration and hotel & travel tab below.
THIS EVENT HAS REACHED MAX CAPACITY AND THE WAITING LIST HAS BEEN CLOSED.
IF SPOTS SHOULD OPEN UP, WE WILL REPOST THE REGISTRATION LINK.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Your registration is transferable, please contact the Senate Office in writing at events [at] asccc.org (events [at] asccc.org.)
What is the cancellation/refund policy?
Submission of your registration signifies agreement with this policy.
Please remember that the last day to cancel your registration is February 1, 2019 without penalty and is always posted at the bottom of each event's webpage, and is listed in each confirmation email. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to events [at] asccc.org on or before the posted date. Registration will not be canceled due to non-payment. All cancellations made after the posted cancellation date will be assessed a $100.00 cancellation fee.
Cancellations made less than 7 working days prior to the event will be billed a $100.00 cancellation fee.
No shows, unclaimed "TBA" attendees, and cancellations made after the deadline will be billed a $100.00 cancellation fee to you and/or your college. As attendees are permitted to register without funds, we have no way of determining cancellation unless specifically told, in writing.
Unpaid balances owed to the Academic Senate must be paid off before an attendee can register for a future event.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
All attendee registrations must match the ticket. If you would like to transfer your registration, you must cancel the first one, then register the second attendee online.
The Room block for this event is full at the discounted rate. If you have not already made a hotel reservation, you may do so by calling the Marriott Reservation line below. Please note any reservations made outside of our room block after January 31st, will not be covered by ASCCC. You will be liable for any reservation made after January 31st.
The Academic Senate is pleased to offer a complimentary 2 night stay hotel + tax + self-parking for the Part Time Faculty Institute. You are responsible for making your individual hotel reservations prior to January 31st, they will not be made by the ASCCC staff. Please follow the directions below to make your personal reservation. Please note that we have a limited number of rooms reserved, they are on a first come basis, so make your reservations early!
Did you remember to register for the event?

For attendees commuting to the event locally, parking passes will be provided each day at the registration desk.
Please email events [at] asccc.org with any questions.
