Nexus Workshops will take place on Thursday, April 22 or Friday, April 23 from  2:00 p.m.—5:00 p.m. Registration is free, but limited to the first 30 participants who commit to the requirements for each workshop (see details below). Sign up by April 15, 2021! The Nexus Workshops will provide space for connection and networking with faculty leaders from across the state as well as resources for personal and professional growth and development in addition to providing practical tips for refining hiring materials and employment preparation for the California community colleges.

Register for the Part Time Faculty Nexus Workshop

 

Nexus Workshop Participant Requirements:

  • Must be a part-time faculty in California community colleges (either currently/previously employed or seeking full-time faculty employment in CCCs)

  • Complete the free registration form for only ONE of the following Nexus Workshops: Thursday, April 22 or Friday, April 23

  • Commit to an entire half-day Nexus Workshop from 2:00 p.m.—5:00 p.m. (must attend the entire three hours)

  • Complete a brief survey before the Nexus Workshop and after the completion of the workshop

 

Nexus Workshop Framework:

  • Welcome and Get to Know You Activity

  • Introduction of Part-time Faculty Nexus Website 

  • Hiring Tips and Employment Preparation

  • 20-Minute Mentoring and Curriculum Vitae Guidance (in small groups with statewide leaders as your faculty mentors)

  • Closing, Reflection, and Survey

 

If you are willing and able to commit to all of the above requirements, please complete the registration form by April 15, 2021. You will be sent the Nexus Workshop entry survey and other details prior to your workshop date.
