Event Dates

The Accreditation Institute 2011 will be held at the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel and Spa in Napa, CA on March 18-19, 2011. Registration has been extended until February 21, 2011!

Welcome

This spring, the Accreditation Institute 2011, "Embrace the Possible: Approaching Accreditation with Integrity," will be held at the Napa Valley Marriot. The main purpose of the Accreditation Institute is to assist and support faculty leaders as they navigate all the components needed in writing a self study. Furthermore, the Institute will continue to provide training for SLO Coordinators to address the outcomes requirements in a sustainable manner including assessment and “closing the loop” to facilitate reaching proficiency on the ACCJC rubric by 2012. As always, there will be opportunities throughout the Institute to ask questions, raise issues and concerns, create action plans for your campus, share strategies with colleagues from across the state, and develop a network of support. Registration is open to all faculty, accreditation liaison officers, and chief instructional officers.

Registration Information

Thank you for your interest. Registration has closed for this event.

  • Single Occupancy registration: $475 (includes lodging on the 18th, registration, and materials)
  • Double Occupancy registration: $400 (includes lodging with a roommate on the 18th, registration, and materials)
  • Registration Only: $275 (includes registration and materials, but no lodging)

Transportation to and from the institute are not included in the registration fees. If you are interested in attending the 2011 Accreditation Institute, please complete the online registration form as soon as possible. Please note that the Accreditation Institute is limited to 120 participants (5 per college) and registrations are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis, so you may want to register right away.

Payment Information

Please mail a check to the Academic Senate Office prior to the Institute, or, if necessary, you may bring it with you to the Institute. Our mailing address is 555 Capitol Mall, Suite 525, Sacramento, CA 95814. Please make checks out to the Academic Senate.

Cancellation Policy

  • Please remember that the last day to cancel your registration without penalty is February 14, 2011. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to events [at] asccc.org (events[at]asccc[dot]org) on or before the posted date. Registration will not be canceled due to non-payment.
  • Refunds will not be granted for cancellations after the cancellation deadline (February 14, 2011).
  • You and/or your college will be invoiced for any unpaid fees upon the conclusion of the event, including “no show” registrants.
  • No shows, unclaimed “TBA” attendees, and cancellations made after the deadline will be billed to you and/or your college for the total cost of registration and room if applicable to the event. As attendees are permitted to register without funds, we have no way of determining cancellation unless specifically told, in writing.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure payment of the registration fee. Submission of your registration signifies agreement with this policy.
  • Unpaid balances owed to the Academic Senate must be paid off before an attendee can register for a future event.

The Napa Valley Marriott is located at 3425 Solano Ave, Napa, CA 94558. Self parking is complimentary. Driving directions can be found here. There are three airports close to the Napa Marriott: SFO, Oakland and Sacramento. There is not a free shuttle available to the hotel. If you are flying into Oakland or SFO, Evan's Inc. offers bus and shuttle options to Napa Valley. Please visit their website for rates and schedules. Please note, the Super Shuttle route from Sacramento to Napa has been discontinued! If you are traveling with a group, a car rental may be the most economical means of transportation. Please note that the cost of travel is not included in the registration fee.
