Welcome
The Faculty Leadership Institute provides training, assistance, and information to faculty members to empower them to run stronger, more effective local senates. The Institute provides a variety of activities and materials to assist participants in identifying the key role and function of local senates in governance and professional and academic matters as defined in Assembly Bill 1725 (1988) and the Education Code. Participants will be apprised of current statewide issues that potentially impact their local senates, as well as the role of and their relationship to the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges, the Chancellor’s Office, other consultation groups, the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges, and the legislature.
