2011 Vocational Education Institute

Event Dates

Don’t miss this once in a life time offer. The Academic Senate’s Vocational Education Leadership Institute is pairing up with the American Association of Community Colleges’ Workforce Development Institute this coming year in January of 2011 at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach, nestled in a lovely cove on the beautiful Newport Back Bay Reserve. Please note that this is not our normal time in March, so save the following dates: January 27-29, 2011, and as always this institute is funded by a Chancellor’s Office grant.

Welcome!

The Academic Senate is pleased to announce that the annual Vocational Education Leadership Institute will be held January 27-29, 2011 at The Hyatt Regency Newport Beach. The benefits of attendance include: learning skills needed for leadership at the local, regional and state levels; a larger knowledge base for effective leadership; relationship development and connections to statewide leaders and other occupational faculty; and an increased awareness of resources available. We want to encourage more active participation of occupational faculty in the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges. So join us! The conference is free to those who register early and attend! Travel expenses are also covered! Registration is open to all occupational education faculty and occupational education counseling faculty on a first come, first serve basis.

Registration Information

Thank you for your interest. The event has reached maximum capacity and the wait list has closed for the time being. The attendance of the Institute, including a double occupancy room, is subsidized. Up until November 19, 2010, there will not be a charge to register for the institute. Single rooms are available at an additional cost of $200 to the participant. After November 19, 2010, fees will be $50 to register (and have a double occupancy room), and $250 for a single occupancy room. Failure to attend the institute will result in an invoice of $100 + hotel room expenses, if applicable.
