Status Report
Although the Program Improvement strategy continues to be ignored, a Budget Change Proposal for hiring full-time faculty was passed by the Legislature but vetoed by the Governor. ASCCC goal for attainment of the 75:25 full-time faculty ratio.
Whereas AB 1725 stated a goal of 75% hours of instruction taught by full-time faculty,
Resolved that the Academic Senate urge the Chancellor's Office to pursue new Program Improvement funds to be added yearly to the base apportionment to raise the percentage of hours of instruction taught by full-time faculty to 75% within the next five years.
