AB 1725 - Local Senates

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges work toward the incorporation in AB 1725 of Recommendation #58 of the Master Plan Commission report The Challenge of Change:

That the Board of Governors strengthen the role of faculty senates with respect to the determination and administration of academic standards, course approval; hiring, retention, and evaluation of faculty; and other academic functions,

so that AB 1725 will reflect strengthening the role of local senates as suggested in the intent language of AB 1725 and as proposed in Recommendation #58 of the Master Plan Commission report The Challenge of Change and Recommendation #6 of The Master Plan Renewed.
