Status Report
A work group including representatives of the AAUP and CCC/CFT worked to develop options related to seeking alternative bodies /structures for accreditation, and ICAS also considered seeking an alternative and met with WASC's director to discuss the situation. While it is unlikely that the federal government would agree to a new commission or that WASC would supplant the ACCJC, it may be useful to keep this resolution on the table for leverage accreditation.
Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community College as a final avenue of action, develop alternative structures and/or approaches to replace the current accreditation commission.
