Whereas the Chancellor's Office has established a task force to study and develop systemwide articulation agreements with "Historically Black Colleges and Universities" (HBCUs), and
Whereas the task force membership includes faculty appointed by the Academic Senate, transfer center directors, articulation officers, students and administrators.
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges support the efforts to develop systemwide articulation agreements with "Historically Black Colleges and Universities." and
Resolved that the Academic Senate recommend to the task force that in pursuing these articulation agreements, the HBCU academic senates (or equivalent) are the primary consultants on these agreements, and
Resolved that the task force develop a process for the collection of data on the numbers of students who transfer to HBCU's and report that data along with systemwide transfer rates.
