Whereas the Bachelor of Vocational Education has traditionally been an effective vehicle for vocational education faculty to obtain a bachelor's degree, and

Whereas the Bachelor of Vocational Education has very limited availability in northern and central California, and

Whereas the satellite and digital technology exists to deliver the Bachelor of Vocational Education degree to even small and rural community college faculty,

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges encourage the Chancellor of the California State University system to increase the availability of the Bachelor of Vocational Education in those areas not currently being served to enable vocational faculty hired after January 1, 1995 to qualify for tenure in 1999.
