Whereas the Business Education Statewide Advisory Committee has successfully provided leadership in curriculum and staff development for California community college business and technical education efforts, and
Whereas the Business Education Statewide Advisory Committee is an important link used to facilitate dialogue between the Chancellor's Office, business community, and business educators in order to provide relevant educational experiences, and
Whereas these linkages have provided California businesses with trained personnel and California business educators with critical resources for effective training and educating in this dynamic environment, and
Whereas the Business Education Statewide Advisory Committee uniquely serves the professional development and technical assistance needs of business and technical educators,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for reaffirm its support for the Business Education Statewide Advisory Committee and recognize the Committee's crucial role in the development and support for business and technical educators in their workforce training efforts, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate recommend continued funding for the Business Education Statewide Advisory Committee in it's partnership efforts with the business community to provide relevant, effective, and accessible business training and educational opportunities for all Californians.
