Carl D. Perkins Act

Whereas the Carl D. Perkins Vocational Education Act is a source of funds for community colleges and K-12, and

Whereas the act expired this year and funding is therefore jeopardized,

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges support reauthorization of the Carl D. Perkins Vocational Education Act, and

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges encourage local senate members to write to U.S. Senators and local members of the House of Representatives and express their concerns about the negative effect on vocational education programs if funds are not restored.
