Whereas the consultation process in its codified form in the Chancellor's "Executive Orders" on consultation and in the Board of Governors' "Standing Orders" on consultation systematically excludes a proper status to faculty and the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges recommendations on policy to the Board of Governors,
Resolved that the Academic Senate direct the Executive Committee to recommend that the Board of Governors consider changes in the formal codification of consultation to include either a "joint agreement" or "rely primarily upon" consultation structure consistent with the spirit of Title 5, Sections 53200-53204, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate direct the Executive Committee to recommend to the Board of Governors that formal changes in the codification of consultation also include the strengthening of the role of all five faculty organizations.
