Update 6/25/2015: Recommend waiting to link response with the Taskforce on Workforce, Job Creation, and a Strong Economy. Oct - 2016 As the Strong Workforce Task Force moves on, this could be covered by that effort. Could we time something to impact the evaluation of colleges program review process in early spring? Work with Accreditation and Assessment Committee on this. Number 9 on workforce recommendations. 2017 - 18: While this resolution is 5 years old, it is still relevant and connected to SWP recommendation 9.a. The chairs of CTE LC, AAC, and Curriculum are charged with identifying a plan to address that recommendation. This resolution should be part of the conversation.

Whereas, In addition to completing the local program review cycle, career and technical education (CTE) programs must complete additional program reviews every two years;

Whereas, Many CTE programs have minimal or no full-time faculty and thus have severe time constraint issues; and

Whereas, Many CTE programs are subject to external reviews and discipline-specific accreditation reviews;

Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges develop and publish resources on methods and effective practices for streamlining the program review processes for CTE programs.
