Whereas the Academic Senate is committed to cultural diversity in the curriculum, among the faculty, staff, and students, and
Whereas the Academic Senate is fully supportive of the varied array of multicultural heritages, and
Whereas during recent adverse economic times, acts of racism and prejudice have been noted to increase,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges re-commit to a pluralistic society by establishing programs and workshops to counter racism, urging local senates to recommend to their district boards to investigate and condemn all racist acts or activities and take appropriate corrective actions.
