Whereas funding for CAN has recently been problematic due to the University of California withdrawing support in 1990 and the Chancellor's Office using, in part, the Joint Faculty Projects fund for its contribution in 1993-94,
Resolved that the Academic Senate of California Community Colleges seek to broaden faculty participation on the California Articulation Number (CAN) System Coordinating Council, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges participate in an evaluation of CAN, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges urge the CAN Coordinating Council and the Chancellor to seek funding sources other than the Joint Faculty Projects.
