Whereas the legislative intent of AB 1725 is that instructional assignments should be made on the basis of program needs and quality and not for financial reasons,


Resolved that the Academic Senate work with local academic senate presidents to determine the number of credit units per discipline taught by full-time faculty and the corresponding number of credit units per discipline taught by part-time faculty.

Status Report: 

This issue has been included in a paper developed by the Educational Policies Committee on hiring. The paper will be presented for adoption at the Fall 2000 Plenary Session.
