Recommend that the Board of Governors adopt the proposed change in the Disciplines List for Instructional Design/Technology.
Status Report

The Board of Governors adopted the Disciplines List Revision, which is reflected in the updated publication of the Minimum Qualifications document.

Whereas, Both written and oral testimony given through the consultation process used for the review of minimum qualifications for faculty in the California community colleges, known as the "Disciplines List," supports the following change in the Instructional Design/Technology Discipline:

Master's in instructional design/technology or educational technology OR The equivalent; and

Whereas, The Executive Committee of the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges, having evaluated this evidence, supports the revision;

Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges recommend that the Board of Governors adopt the proposed change in the Disciplines List for Instructional Design/Technology.
