The paper was published.

Whereas courses utilizing distance education technologies must have the same approval path as regular curriculum, and

Whereas local curriculum committees need the support of the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges in making effective curricular decisions regarding distance education technologies,

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges direct the Executive Committee to develop guidelines for local colleges to use in evaluating distance education courses, and

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges survey colleges offering distance education courses to include their definitions and recommendations in these guidelines, and

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges create an Internet bank called "Distance Learning" accessible to all community colleges which would include course outlines, checklists, and other appropriate data.
