Ethnic Studies - Faculty Evaluation

Whereas AB 1725 mandates California Community College academic senates to establish evaluation criteria for new faculty and administrators and to develop criteria that include a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students,

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges recommend to local senates that they include, as an important part of the evaluation criteria for all faculty and administrators hired after January 1, 1989, concrete evidence of their demonstrated success in displaying sensitivity to and understanding of cultural and ethnic diversity.
