Grandparenting of Faculty

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges urge the Board of Governors to seek legislation clarifying the following aspects of AB 1725:a. Recognition of grandparenting for part-time faculty.b. Reduction-in-force language for grandparented faculty to read as follows:A faculty member shall be eligible for qualification in any faculty service area in which the faculty member has met both minimum qualifications pursuant to Education Code Section 87356 and district competency standards or minimum qualifications pursuant to Education Code Section 87355 and district competency standards.
