Whereas affirmative action has had many positive consequences for the California Community Colleges, and

Whereas repealing affirmative action is not the best solution if the reform of affirmative action is desirable, and

Whereas AB 211, AB 727, AB 833, SB 940, SB 983, and ACA 2, would repeal affirmative action if the legislation were enacted,

Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges oppose proposals in the current language of AB 211, AB 727, AB 833, SB 940, SB 983, and ACA 2 as they exists on April 2, 1995, which eliminate affirmative action.
