Whereas California community colleges are being encouraged to develop distance learning courses, and
Whereas there are community college campuses whose facilities are not complete, and
Whereas there are community college campuses that are in need of earthquake retrofitting and/or upgrading,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges urge the Board of Governors to pursue resources other than capital outlay and facilities improvement funds to develop distance learning classes, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges urge the Board of Governors not to use capital outlay funds and facilities improvement funds for distance learning.
