Whereas, Faculty need current information when performing program review and planning and representing their colleagues;

Whereas, One goal of the Occupational Education Committee is to empower occupational faculty to be leaders; and

Whereas, Many occupational faculty are unable to attend conferences held by the Academic Senate, such as the Vocational Leadership Institute and annual plenary sessions, where the latest information is disseminated;

Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges develop a listing of resources for occupational faculty on the Academic Senate website and promote the availability of such resources widely. MSCDisposition: Local Senates

Summary:
Develop a listing of resources for occupational faculty on the Academic Senate website and promote the availability of such resources widely
Recommendation:
Work to figure out best way to accomplish this task (perhaps a detailed survey for CTE leadership institute designed to find out exactly what information is most needed by CTE faculty). Once this is initially accomplished (i.e. resources identified), the intent of the resolution (resources for CTE faculty) should be considered for inclusion in the charge of the committee to allow for ongoing update of such a list.
Status Report:

This should be deemed moot or unnecessary due to the rapidly changing online environment. Such a resource would be forever out of date.
