Opposition to Counseling Faculty Licensure

Whereas, California community college faculty must meet minimum qualifications as established under Title 5; and

Whereas, The movement to require licensure for California community colleges counseling faculty is unnecessary;

Resolved, That the Academic Senate oppose the licensure of California community college counseling faculty; and

Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community College work with the Council of Faculty Organizations to present a united position in opposition to counselor licensure.
