Partnership for Excellence funding has been discontinued.

Whereas the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges has supported resolutions requesting local senates to demand sign-offs on the expenditures of PFE funds, and

Whereas the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges and local senates support expenditure of funds for the five stated goals of PFE funding: transfer, degrees and certificates, basic skills completion and advancement, retention and workforce development, and

Whereas there continue to be complaints concerning the lack of collegial consultation in regards to the planning and processes for PFE implementation at the college and district level,

Resolved that the Academic Senate strongly urge district chancellors and college presidents to provide for a local sign-off by the academic senate prior to the submission of the Partnership for Excellence (PFE) expenditure reports to the board of trustees and the ultimate submission to the Chancellor's Office, and

Resolved that the Academic Senate urge the Chancellor and the Board of Governors to require a sign-off by the local academic senate for Partnership for Excellence expenditure reports to the Chancellor's Office, as is currently done with matriculation budgets.
