A survey was conducted and results compiled and presented in the February 2007 Rostrum and a subsequent breakout.
Whereas, Many California community colleges are undertaking searches for college presidents, chancellors, and/or other senior administrators;
Whereas, Each district and/or local board devises its own processes and procedures for conducting a search for a college president, chancellor, and/or other senior administrator; and
Whereas, Local academic senates currently have few guidelines for participation in these searches;
Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges provide local academic senates with models of good practices for the roles that faculty should play in searches for a local college president, chancellor, and/or other senior administrators. MSCDisposition: Local Senates
