Collegiality in Action program

Whereas, Administrators and trustees who understand, value, and honor the role of faculty and other participatory governance groups can create a positive collaborative teaching and learning environment that fosters student success; and

Whereas, Training in participatory governance as defined by Title 5 53200 is on many local campuses quite limited;

Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges work with the Community College League of California (CCLC) and other appropriate organizations to provide ongoing training, information on best practices, and opportunities for dialogues with administrators and trustees unfamiliar with the principles of participatory governance.
