Will beincluded as part of discussions of the Consultation Council's MatriculationTask Force to begin work in Fall 2004
Whereas, Matriculation is a support service to the college, governed by Title 5 Regulations and AB 3; and
Whereas, Matriculation is defined by the Board of Governors as "a process that brings a college and a student who enrolls for credit into an agreement for the purpose of realizing the student's educational objective through the college's programs and services";
Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges urge the Chancellor's Office to reject all matriculation reports that have been developed without local senate input; and
Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges work collegially with matriculation coordinators and local senates to develop and revise matriculation plans and reports in a timely manner to include input from the local senate in the development of such plans and reports.
