Whereas, Gary Morgan has served the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges through service on a variety of Senate committees, including the Standards & Practices Committee, the Publications Committee, the Relations with Local Senates Committee, and the Educational Policies Committee, and has co-authored several papers for the Senate through those committees;
Whereas, Gary Morgan served as president of his local academic senate for four years, as a member of the executive committee of his local academic senate for 20 years and as his college's delegate to Senate plenary sessions, and contributed to writing numerous resolutions for most of those 20 years; and
Whereas, Gary Morgan will retire as a full-time faculty member on May 19, 2004;
Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges confer the status of senator emeritus on Gary Morgan upon his retirement.
