Whereas the mandates of shared governance require that each local senate partner with the local college president in fulfilling the mission of the college, and
Whereas implementation of shared governance varies from college to college and across time, and
Whereas ways of monitoring implementation and maintenance of shared governance at colleges across the State are inconsistent,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges request that local senates submit an annual report assessing the effectiveness of shared governance at their colleges and in their districts, and
Resolved that the Executive Committee develop, publish, and disseminate guidelines for assessing implementation of shared governance at the local level.
This resolution was not on this year or last year's goals so its status is not clear.
