It was adopted, as has been a revision each year.

Whereas, The original Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) Standards and the document "IGETC Notes" were developed by the Intersegmental Committee of Academic Senates and have not been updated since 1994;

Whereas, A committee of California Community College, California State University (CSU) and University of California (UC) faculty and staff have compiled, reviewed, revised and created the document "IGETC Standards, Policies, and Procedures (2007)";

Whereas, The document "IGETC Standards, Policies and Procedures (2007)" maintains the academic integrity set forth in 1991, but clarifies the processes that may be used to determine course applicability for IGETC and contains significant improvements in the IGETC certification process, including information about partial IGETC certification in the absence of hardship; and

Whereas, The adoption of the document "IGETC Standards, Policies, and Procedures (2007)" would permit colleges to count courses taken in the fall but approved for IGETC in the subsequent spring to be counted for IGETC and remove some restrictions on double-counting;

Resolved, That the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges support the adoption of the document "IGETC Standards, Policies, and Procedures (2007)" by the Intersegmental Committee of Academic Senates. MSC Disposition: ICAS, Local Senates
