Whereas present computer telecommunications technology allows for rapid dissemination of various types of information, and
Whereas the Academic Senate wishes to promote communications networking and effective handling of information, and
Whereas Modesto Junior College currently has a well-established computer bulletin board system with electronic mail, program and document transfer, opinion survey, and database capabilities,
Resolved that the Academic Senate direct the Executive Committee to investigate the possibility of using the Modesto Junior College bulletin board as the host system for statewide use by the Academic Senate, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate encourage local senates to implement access to this computer telecommunications system.
