Whereas AB 1725 legislated the rightful role of faculty in academic and professional matters, and
Whereas the Association of California Community College Administrators (ACCCA) has recently surveyed its membership on their opinion of shared governance, and
Whereas ACCCA's legislative agenda appears to be directed at changing some aspects of AB 1725, including shared governance,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges recommend the Executive Committee research and assess the Association of California Community College Administrators' (ACCCA) position on shared governance and develop strategies to reaffirm and maintain the primacy of the role of faculty in academic and professional matters, and
