Whereas some community college districts may have used AB 1725 staff development funds to supplant existing expenditures,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges continue to monitor district expenditures for staff development funds and possible need for its resolution adopted unanimously at the 1988 Fall Session recommending that the Board of Governors "develop regulations stipulating that staff development expenditures per Education Code Section 87150 be augmentations to existing and future staff development expenditures" if districts supplant existing expenditures with staff development funds, and
Resolved that the Academic Senate direct the Executive Committee to report on California Community College staff development expenditures at the 1989 Fall Session.
