Whereas an overwhelming number of educators urged the governor to use the state surplus for educational purposes, and
Whereas there is now an opportunity to make a public gesture of support for public education,
Resolved that the Academic Senate recommend to local senates that community college faculty donate their tax rebates to an appropriate educational institution or educational organization of their choice.
